I collected my new passport.

After waiting for some 7 – 8 weeks for my passport (which got delayed because of some photo issues) I finally managed to collect it today from the Singpost at Suntec City Mall.

new passport

Well, that’s it. End of post.

Okay, not quite. I also went to a nearby anime merch store to look at their goods, fighting off the temptation to buy additional Genshin Impact character standee(s). Specifically if there was a Raiden Shogun standee on sale, I might actually have gotten it. But the heavens dictated that I, Shiraga, probably should not spend any more than I already have on frivolous purchases.

See, I already bought 2 last weekend – Xiao and Lisa. I wanted to get Zhongli and Raiden Shogun as well, but my friend who was with me that day pointed out that I already had a Zhongli table mat. Fair point. So that just left Raiden Shogun. Which is now sold out.

Where would I be without my friends?

I have a level 90 Lisa. Ask me how I play Lisa in-game.

Okay, I digress. In the merch store I squatted down to inspect some goods at the bottom of a shelf. That was when I felt this tearing sensation from around my bottom, of fabric being ripped.

Now, I was already aware that there was this part near the pocket that was tearing, so I assumed it was just that spot actually ripping open. I felt around there and sure enough, it did seem so, with a small hole. No biggie.

I went to the MRT to take a train home. I played two rounds in Mahjong Soul and clawed back a significant amount of rank points (which I then proceeded to lose in this stream here). Then I caught a bus home. Just as I’m almost home, I decided to feel around that area again just to make sure the hole didn’t get any wider.

If I had known about the situation back at Suntec, I would have just called for a ride or something. Even though it was evening peak hour.

Sigh.

I realised there and then that the fabric was very loose. Almost as if it was flapping in the wind. I run my finger along the fabric, and feel its edges.

My ass, meanwhile, feels a fingertip tracing lines against the underwear that covers it, the final layer of protection remaining.

I think I’ve rambled on long enough, so I’ll just leave you with this photo of… the actual situation.

And the merch that I ripped my jeans for?

It was this Bunnie plushie from Animal Crossing, which I didn’t even buy in the end.

So I didn’t buy a Raiden Shogun acrylic standee, I didn’t buy a Bunnie plushie. The money I saved now goes towards buying a new pair of jeans.

Hope there’s a sale.
